Barnegat Bay to the West, Island Park State Park to the North, and Atlantic City to the South.  It is the
easternmost end of NJ Rte. 72, and easily accessible by Exit 63 from the Garden State Parkway.  The

Three restaurants, one deli and numerous shops are in easy walking distance.  Many guests like to walk
to the inlet under Old Barney to fish off the jetty, watch the sunset over Barnegat Bay or simply buy a
cup of coffee and read the paper by the inlet in the mornings as the fishing fleet heads out to sea.

In the southern half of the Island, visitors will find more commercial activity including Fantasy Island
Amusement Park, miniature golf course galore even more shopping and dining opportunities.  Atlantic
City is only one hour away by car, and several boats depart daily from Beach Haven to Atlantic City.
Attractions further south include Ocean City and its Boardwalk, historic Cape May and the surprisingly
good Cape May Zoo.  A half-dozen golf courses are within 45 minutes from the island including the top
ranked Seaview and the surprisingly good municipal course in Manahawkin.  After a days activities away
from 5th Street, however, most folks are happy to return to the relative calm of Barnegat Light.  In fact,
most visitors never stray far from the beach during their entire stay.
